Overview
Pratt Museum Job Creation Analysis
Project Lead: Leah Cuyno
The Pratt Museum in Homer, AK commissioned this study to support their application for funding from the Economic Development Administration (EDA) for their Campus Enhancement Plan. Northern Economics developed estimates of potential direct, indirect, and induced jobs that would be generated from the various enhancement activities being planned. The jobs were quantified using input-output analysis based on estimated capital and annual O&M costs. As part of the research for the study, we also conducted a survey to find out the relationships of local businesses with the Pratt Museum and gathered some insights on potential impacts of the proposed enhancements.
