Northern Economics provided a socioeconomic evaluation of the ten Northwest Arctic Borough villages for use in forecasting fuel storage needs for gasoline, ULSD, and heating fuel. The report described the region and provided population forecasts for 5, 10, and 20 years in the future based on current trends and projected growth. It discussed the region’s industries and potential projects that could affect the local economy, heating, and power consumption needs.
